conjugated linoleic acid (cla)

what is conjugated linoleic acid (cla)?

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is one of the primary ingredients in SlimWeigh™ from Products by Pam.  But, what does that mean for our customers?  Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is a "fatty acid" found, primarily, in meats and dariy products.  It is found in large amounts in milk, chesse, lean beaf, and lamb.  In fact, most processed cheese products contain Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA).  The problem with ingesting enough CLA from these products is simple.  A person would have to ingest (eat) large quantities of these foods.  Well, this means a person would ingest an extremely large number of calories to get a "usable amount" of CLA to help in weight loss.  The weight loss attribute of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is documented in many studies.  However, CLA is not typical in the way it can help a person lose weight.

the "atypical" supplement

Conjucated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is believed to work differently from other weight loss supplements.  For years, scientists. and weight loss experts, believed all "fats" were bad for proper nutrition.  The thinking on this specific issue is changing, though.  For many years, the diet experts were thinking to lose weight there needed to be an increase in carbohydrates in the diet.  Now. it is known the increase in carbohydrates is causing ever expanding weight issues.  "Fats" and "fatty acids" are, now, believed to be required for proper nutrition.  Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is one of those "fatty acids" the body needs for proper nutrition and weight loss.

Conjucated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is different, though.  Researchers suggest Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) may, actually, keep smaller fat cells from growing in size.  It is, also, believed Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) does not shrink fat cells, though.  So, Conjucated Linoleic Acid (CLA) does not decrease fat.  What it may, actually, do is keep fat cells from getting larger.  Regardless of body weight, every body has larger and smaller fat cells.  As people gain weight, the fat cells get larger, Keeping fat cells from "growing," in turn, keeps someone from gaining weight, in theory.  This is different, or atypical, from other weight loss supplements.  But, Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) has the possibility to help the body in other ways, too.

more than a weight loss supplement?

Some people, especially those suffering from hypothyroidism, are reporting overall better lab tests for cholesterol.  These hypothyroidism patients are showing lab results with lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels.  This is important because most people suffering from thyroid problems have unusual cholestrol and triglyceride levels.  Additionally, some research is present stating people using Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) are showing lower resistance to insulin.  Insulin resistance is one of the cuase of diabetes in adults.
